Susana Querejazu is the pastry chef at the James Beard nominated Odd Duck restaurant in Austin, Texas. Complimenting the farm-to-table focus of the restaurant, Susana draws inspiration from Texas seasons and local ingredients to create desserts that are delicately balanced and artfully composed.
As an Austin native, Susana grew up in the thick of a transforming food scene. She studied at the Texas Culinary Academy, and worked as a pastry chef at Vespaio, Amity Bakery, and Uchi before founding the pastry and bread program at Odd Duck. Her undeniable talent and passion for pastry were recently recognized by Zagat, where she was featured on their Austin’s 30 under 30 list.
