Chef Ben Lee is quickly making a name for himself in New York City. The first-time Executive Chef at A Voce Madison is seamlessly making the menu his own while maintaining the restaurant's impeccable standards. Lee's love for Italian cuisine developed when he took the advice of Chef Jeff Michaud, one of Philadelphia's most respected Italian chefs, to apprentice in Italy. While there, Lee worked at Ristorante Loro in Bergamo, Italy, learning the ins and outs of authentic Italian cuisine.
Lee grew up in Chicago after his family emigrated from South Korea. His culinary journey began in 2003 in Philadelphia where he worked at various high-end restaurants. After his tenure in Italy, Lee returned to Philadelphia to join Chef Marc Vetri's award-winning restaurant Osteria. He then moved to New York City where he joined Michael White at his Michelin-starred restaurant Marea.
