Chef Patricio Sandoval became a culinary star in Chicago by delivering refined Mexican street food with bold flavors at his restaurant Mercadito. It became such a success that it grew into a restaurant empire that now includes Mercadito locations and offshoots in Las Vegas and New York City.
Sandoval attended The French Culinary Institute and worked his way up the culinary ladder at esteemed restaurants across the country. His childhood was spent growing up around his father's renowned restaurant Madeiras in Acapulco, Mexico. The numerous trips to farmer's markets with his mother became the inspiration for his restaurant Mercadito.
