A native of Connecticut, Christian takes an innovative, ingredient-first approach to cooking. He currently serves as the Executive Chef at Short Order, an artisanal burger restaurant located at the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles, CA. There, he carries out the vision of his mentors and good friends, Nancy Silverton, and the late Amy Pressman.
Christian’s food philosophy is summed up with the following: “The care one puts into cultivating ingredients is as important as the care that one puts into preparing them. The knowledge required to thoughtfully prepare ingredients is as important as the knowledge required to holistically appreciate them.”
