Chef Notes
The name of this drink changes based on the liquor being used. A "buck" is made with burbon instead of vodka, and a "dark and stormy" is typically made with rum. The other ingredients and procedures for making this cocktail remain the same.
To make ginger syrup, use an elextric juicer to extract the juice from fresh ginger root. Add sugar to the juice, and mix until it is completely dissolved.
