Chef Notes

According to legend, s’mores are so named because everyone who tastes one always asks for “some more". S’mores have been a popular campfire snack in North America for nearly a century. The first printed s’more recipe appeared in the Girl Scout handbook, "Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts", which was published in 1927.

For a non-traditional take on the s’more, visit Chef Dave Danhi’s “Grilled S’more Melt” tutorial located at the bottom of the page.

Chef Jane uses homemade marshmallow fluff and homemade graham crackers to make this s’more. To lean how to make these, visit her “Homemade Graham Crackers” and “Homemade Marshmallow Fluff” tutorials located at the bottom of the page.
